With this service we can give you back all of those priceless memories on the much easier to use DVD format. We transferred all of our old 8mm movies to DVD and now we can watch them whenever we want and no longer have to worry about something happening to our family memories. They are safely and conveniently stored in our safe. This service makes a great Christmas,Birthday or Anniversary present.
We use the open air transfer method. Which means that we project your films onto a special screen and then digitally record them. Then they are uploaded to our computer and editing to remove bumps and skips.
For this service we charge a fee of five cents per foot of 8mm film. If you are not sure how many feet of footage you have you can use this quick estimator.
3" reel=50 feet of film
4" reel =100 feet of film
5" reel =200 feet of film
6" reel= 300 feet of film
7" reel =400 feet of film
A thousand feet of 8mm film lasts about one hour.
So if you had one 7 inch reel your price would be $20.00 to convert it to DVD. We also charge $4.00 for each additional copy.
